Most of our work is residential, and it runs the full range: a tired room brought back to life, a whole-home repaint before or after a renovation, a high-end interior with Venetian plaster on a feature wall, or a period home restored inside and out.

Most painters quote the painting. We quote the preparation too, because it is the part that decides how a job looks up close and how long it lasts. Here is the groundwork that goes into every Elite Paint job, step by step.
Protection
Before anything else, floors, furniture, fixtures and finished surfaces are covered and masked, and the work area is set up to stay clean and protected for the whole job.
Sanding
Walls, ceilings, woodwork and trims are sanded back to a smooth, even base. It is the step that decides whether the final finish reads flat and sharp or shows what was underneath.
Patching
Damaged areas are repaired properly. Where a job needs it we patch and apply a topping coat to rebuild and smooth the surface, the way we did restoring a feature wall in Brighton, rather than painting over a problem.
Filling
Gaps and holes around skirting boards, architraves, cornices and wall junctions are filled and made good, so lines are clean and the whole surface sits true before colour goes on.
Priming
Bare timber, repairs and patched areas are spot-primed and undercoated so the topcoats bond, the colour sits even, and nothing bleeds or flashes through later.
Preparation
A final check and clean down of every surface, caulking and detailing the fine lines, so the walls and trims are genuinely ready for paint and nothing is missed before the first finish coat.
Application
Coats are laid down evenly, lines cut clean by hand, and specialty finishes built up and burnished with patience. The site is left tidy at the end of every day.
Final inspection
We walk the finished job with you, touch up anything that needs it under proper light, and only call it done when every wall, trim and detail is right.
